The Legal Affairs Coordinator oversees legal and administrative processes, liaising with local governments, accounting firms, NGOs, and state authorities on immigration, labor, taxation, and management.
They handle visa applications, address registration and translation of documents in Odessa and Kyiv, as well as banking and management tasks, including signature renewal and notarized translations. In addition, the Legal Coordinator assesses risks, advises on key issues, ensures timely reporting and information sharing with mission colleagues.
Requirements:
- Commitment to Oxfam's values, mission and feminist principles in humanitarian work
- Knowledge of Global Justice, Social Change, and Women's Rights
- Experience with complex legal issues
- Understanding the Ukrainian system of public administration
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills
- Precision, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Team player, flexible, with good workload management
- Gender and cultural sensitivity in line with Oxfam's values and principles of equal opportunity
- Ability to count and manage informational reviews
- Fluency in English and Ukrainian
- Advanced user of computer programs (text editor, e-mail, Excel)
- Adaptability, resistance under pressure
- Ability to listen and ability to consider different points of view
Preferably
- Legal and translation experience in Ukraine
- Knowledge of international development and humanitarian legal issues
- Attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and proactive thinking
