Due to our expanding operations, we are looking for a Junior Legal and Compliance Specialist to join our team.
This role will involve providing in-house legal and compliance support to ensure our business areas adhere to relevant laws and internal policies. You will advise on potential risks, help shape compliance strategies in line with the industry’s best practices, and address any policy violations promptly and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure company compliance with legal requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Assist with design, implementation, and maintaining internal audit and compliance programs aligned with both local and international regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Monitor compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
- Perform internal compliance audits and report findings to Company Management.
- Review new business processes, products, and systems for legal compliance, including contracts and vendor agreements.
- Support various departments by collecting and coordinating legal and compliance data for audits.
- Conduct investigations into identified or reported legal risks, breaches, or violations.
- Assist with developing and implementing risk management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with external legal providers to ensure up-to-date compliance.
- Educate and train employees on compliance regulations, legal updates, and internal policies.
- Monitor company compliance with Microsoft Partnership Programs, ISO certifications, EU and USA directives, and other relevant standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, and data protection regulations.
- Familiarity with industry regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant compliance frameworks.
- Ability to conduct legal research and analyze relevant laws and regulations.
- Precision in reviewing contracts and legal documents for compliance and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for drafting documents and conveying legal concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate compliance risks.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication, and ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Capacity to address compliance challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Upper-intermediate level of English (written and spoken).
Would be a plus:
- Experience in a legal or compliance field, preferably within the IT or technology sector.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 or similar standards related to information security and cybersecurity.
