For our client, international pharmaceutical company, we are looking for People & Culture Lead Ukraine / HR Head. 

Purpose of the role: People & Culture Lead is responsible for development of strong business partnership with business leaders to execute HR strategy on talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent management, organizational effectiveness, culture, workforce planning, employee engagement to achieve business objectives through providing support and delivering initiatives in all areas of strategic human resources and communications.

Reporting line: People & Culture Lead operationally reports to General Manager and functionally to Cluster HR Head. People & Culture Lead  is a member of the Country Leadership Team.

Headcount: approx.. 200 people 

Direct reports: up to 5 people 

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine (hybrid, for the moment mainly remote, visiting office based on a business need) 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define HR and Communications strategic priorities and projects to support business needs and future sustainability with tailored approaches needed for the business aligned to company’s vision, mission, values, and Global HR priorities. 
  • Develop and implement an effective and optimal organization structure and capabilities meeting business needs. 
  • Ensure all HR operations are executed in line with Labor Law, company Global policies and other relevant regulations. 
  • Ensure hiring of right professionals and their continuous development by maintenance of Recruitment process. 
  • Build strong succession pipeline for all key positions and critical roles by maintenance of Organization&Talent Review process. 
  • Manage regularly review individual performance and developmental expectations across organization by maintenance of Performance&Development process. 
  • Retain desired talent through an effective development, engagement, and reward policies. 
  • Manage compensation and benefits processes. 
  • Develop a training & development plan across all function. 
  • Develop HR and Communications policies and processes covering all areas such as leadership development, talent management, training, rewards, business trips, car fleet management. 
  • Enable business with strong measurement and action planning process to improve engagement scores across the business. 
  • Personally intervene and resolve complex / sensitive HR and communications issues. 
  • Promote HR compliance as a mandate and ensure continuous improvement in compliancelevels. 
  • Foster a culture of knowledge building, growth mindset and sharing across the business. 
  • Lead HR Department ensuring availability of competent, high performing people and competence in expert area; ensure talent management and people development. 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement new technologies. 
  • Participate as a full member of the Country Leadership Team, helping to define business strategy and objectives. 
  • Cooperate with Global HR function to provide proper processes and to include improvement processes into all activities within the area of responsibility. 

Profile of the person we are looking for: 

  • HR Lead/HR Business Partner/HR Manager experience in an international environment; 
  • Experience/good understanding of the broad range of HR functions: recruitment, on-boarding, performance review, people development, C&B, UA labor law, employment administration; 
  • Fluent in English; 
  • Proven experience driving changes in an organization. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 
  • Strong managerial skills and mindset. 
  • Solution orientation, decision-making competence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks.
  • Ability to inculcate culture of growth and continuous improvement.
