Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Market Research Department to lead our team and drive operational excellence. This role combines strategic leadership, research expertise, and a focus on process improvement. The ideal candidate will oversee the department’s performance, ensure project profitability, and lead initiatives to automate and streamline research processes with the support of our in-house IT department.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of analysts, data scientists, and researchers.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance within the department.

Research Excellence

• Oversee the design and execution of comprehensive industrial market research projects.
• Ensure accurate analysis of key metrics such as market balance, import/export dynamics, and competitor insights.
• Drive the development of methodologies that deliver actionable insights for clients.

Strategic Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor key performance metrics for the department, including project margins, efficiency, and quality.
• Regularly evaluate project outcomes to ensure alignment with business objectives and client expectations.

Process Automation & Optimization

• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve workflows within the department.
• Collaborate with the IT department to implement automation solutions and ensure smooth integration with existing processes.

Client Engagement

• Act as a key point of contact for high-profile clients, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
• Deliver compelling presentations of research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Business Strategy & Development

• Align departmental goals with the company’s overall strategy, driving growth and innovation.
• Identify new market opportunities and contribute to the development of new service offerings.

QualificationsExperience

• At least 5-7 years of experience in industrial market research, with a proven track record of leading teams and delivering high-quality projects.
• Experience in managing project budgets and monitoring margins is highly desirable.

Skills

• Strong analytical skills, with expertise in market balance, market segmentation, and competitor analysis.
• Familiarity with Jira for project management and task tracking.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and client communication skills.

• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and MySQL.

• Knowledge of Python (preferred).

• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, etc

• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and market research software.
• Advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken) to effectively communicate with clients and international stakeholders.
• Familiarity with automation tools, workflows, and working with IT teams to implement process improvements.
• Ability to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education (Optional)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or related fields.
