HR Coordinator - Kyiv, Ukraine - Intranet DCA
POSITION OBJECTIVES
The HR Coordinator leads Human Resources matters in Ukraine office and plays an advisory role to the Head of Support Services and Country Director, and a supportive role to the broader team. The HRC developes, advises on and implements the full range of HR rules, regulations, and strategies necessary to support effective people management across the country. This both related to upholding compliance with DCA HQ policies/procedures as well as Ukrainian policies and laws including but not limited to the Labour Law.
Regardless of the content of this job description the employee is expected to participate in any task necessary for the organization delegated by the manager at all times.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement and monitor and lead the operational system for managing human resources functions/systems including HR administration.
- Develop effective and fair recruitment process ensuring integrity, transparency and competitiveness.
- Ensure effective HR administration services including employment contract, salary reviews, job descriptions, leave and holiday information, staff experience letters, HR updates.
- Identifying training needs and developing training programs for employees to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their job duties effectively. Providing coaching and mentoring to employees as needed.
- Ensure the implementation of DCA gender, inclusion and diversity policy in all aspects of DCA work and its commitment in HR strategies and functions.
- Handling employee complaints and grievances, conducting investigations, and making recommendations for resolution. Ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and that the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations related to employment.
- Review, recommend and develop HR Policy and staff hand book/employment contracts.
- Ensuring that the company complies with all relevant labour laws and regulations. Staying up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations and making recommendations for policy changes as needed.
- Work with legal counsel for advice on any matters.
- Ensure monthly payroll is prepared on time in close collaboration with finance including the calculation and recording of applicable benefits.
- Developing and implementing HR strategies that are aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Providing guidance to senior management on HR issues and helping to develop policies and procedures that support the company's overall strategy.
- Act as the company focal point and arbiter for all staff relations and HR related complaint.
REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in HR, Law, Management is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources function (preferably in a non-government organization).
- Good understanding of Ukrainian legislation (labour and civil legislation).
- Fluency in English and Ukrainian, both written and verbal.
- Ability to train, mobilize, and manage teams
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task under pressure
Work related travels are expected in this position.
