About the role:Chief Accountant (Finance Manager) in Ukraine leads and manages the local Finance Team (including US GAAP Management Accounts, Statutory and Tax reporting) ensuring up-to-date and compliant accounting records. Responsible for overseeing all tax affairs, statutory accounting and fiscal issues and ensuring adherence to all local fiscal and corporate regulations. Responsible for company compliance to corporate finance policies and standard reports (including SOX). Responsible for actively supporting Commercial and Operational Departments in their business development, cost reduction and any other projects.
Skills/Education/Experience:
- High education on economics/ finance/ accounting or relevant work experience,
- At least 7-10 years of experience at managerial level within Finance / Accounting in an International/Multi-national company, preferably with a US parent
- Good all round knowledge of local corporate and income taxes, local GAAP and US GAAP,
- Experienced in ERP accounting systems, both use and implementation; proficient with Excel,
- English language (fluent, upper-Intermediate as minimum),
- Knowledge of ORACLE is a plus,
- Very strong supervisory and interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership skills and a team player,
- Ability to communicate in a professional way with financial institutions, distributors and local staff,
- Ownership, decision making skills,
- Management skills,
- Positive, open minded,
- Participation in Transformation or Systems implementation projects is a plus.
