Solution Architect - SalesForce Marketing Cloud

Overview

The Retail Customer Engagement Tribe is developing a platform that modernizes CRM for retail customers within RBI, providing state-of-the-art tools and leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Currently, over half of our network banks use this platform, and we aim to expand further while ensuring seamless operations.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical / Solution Architect specializing in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to drive solution design, technical leadership, and integrations with enterprise systems. This role involves working closely with business and IT stakeholders, ensuring the platform's scalability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Solution Design: Architect end-to-end solutions leveraging Salesforce's full capabilities, aligning with business objectives.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance to development teams to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Integration Strategy: Define and implement integration strategies, enabling seamless data flow between Salesforce and enterprise systems via APIs, middleware, AWS, or other technologies.
• Customization & Configuration: Oversee Salesforce customization using Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and related technologies.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with RBI security standards, implementing access controls, encryption, and other security measures.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and end-users to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• System Integration: Manage Salesforce integrations with other platforms, ensuring data consistency and system performance.
• Performance Optimization: Implement performance enhancements for high efficiency in Salesforce applications.
• System Upgrades & Patches: Oversee regular system upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and best practices for deployment.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors and consultants for Salesforce ecosystem enhancements.
• Cloud & DevOps Practices: Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code in line with cloud and DevOps best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role, with a focus

on Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

• Strong expertise in Salesforce data modelling, architecture design, and system

integration with cloud solutions.

• Expertise in integrating and leveraging AWS services for data storage,

compute, and security.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical

concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proven leadership skills and experience mentoring development teams.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German and other CEE languages is an

advantage.

Nice to have

Experience with Marketing Cloud Personalization and Data Cloud.

• Background in the financial industry.
• Experience with event-driven architecture (e.g., Apache Kafka or Pulsar).
• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce System-, Technical-, Integration

Architect) are highly preferred.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and collaboration

tools (JIRA, Confluence).
