Protection Monitor and Associate is a temporary position (during the employee's maternity leave)

POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the Senior Protection Officer, the Protection Monitor and Associate will perform day-to-day activities, work across various departments, and collaborate with other sectors in the UHARP (Ukraine Humanitarian Assistance Response Project) project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
- Contribute to planning and implementation of the protection activities in accordance with the workplan and the technical standards, namely psychosocial support, protection monitoring, case management, community-based initiatives, and activities aimed at prevention of GBV (Gender Based Violence) and SEA (Sexual Exploitation and Abuse).
- Assist in developing and conducting trainings, sessions and awareness raising for FHI 360 staff, implementing partners, and beneficiaries.
- Assist in donations and distributions, disseminating information materials, and other project work.
- Undertake responsibility for keeping in proper order main project documentation (activities mapping, calendars, and others), assist in developing new templates, tables, charts, if needed for effective performance.
- Support with preparing content for FHI 360 social media and webpages.
- Support coordination efforts with other agencies, authorities, and clusters.
- Mobilize participants for protection program activities.
- Support the protection officers in building capacity for protection volunteers and other staff as needed on GBV and psychosocial support and other program activities as required.
- Support the coordination of program support activities as they relate to logistics, finance, or security as relevant, under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Protection Officer and in coordination with the relevant departments. Comply with all relevant internal policies and directives.
- Support in compiling accurate data for monitoring and reporting purposes.
- Conduct monitoring activities to measure the quality of services provided and identify needs for improvement.
- Conduct Protection monitoring activities including data collection and processing in a timely and accurate way as directed by Senior Protection Officers, Protection Officers and/or the Protection Coordinator
- Conduct any other program activities related to providing protection services and assistance as instructed by the Senior Protection Officer.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree or equivalent in Humanitarian Studies, Social Works, Gender Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Law, Public Administration, Political Sciences, Management spheres or related discipline.
- 0-2 years' work experience in GBV, protection, MEAL and humanitarian or development programming at the national or international level.
- Experience working with a non-profit or charity would be preferable.
- Solid understanding and working experience of protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), safeguarding and accountability.
- Strong skills in using MS Suite and Kobo.
- Proven networking, team building, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities.
- Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude.
- Being focused on impact and result for the program participants and responds positively to feedback.
- Excellent Ukrainian. Good knowledge of English is required.
