Internal Audit Lead

ING Bank Ukraine announces the start of recruitment for the open position of CAS, Lead of Internal Audit.

Main responsibilities

• Responsible for the implementation, promotion and high-quality implementation of audit activities regarding operational, financial, systematic and compliance audits, as well as individual investigations;
• Determines the adequacy of the Bank's compliance with the requirements of current Ukrainian and international legislation;
• Conducts independent audit and consulting activities and special investigations;
• Evaluates the composition, existence and functioning of the administrative organization of objects of control, especially aspects of internal control;
• Develops effective audit recommendations in case of detection material deficiencies in the administrative organization and system of internal controls or identifying areas of organization improvement.
• Maintain a monitoring over implementation of the recommendations submitted by the audit;
• Monitors compliance with audit plans and programs. Sets priorities, taking into account forecasts of future events.
• In cooperation with the regional head of audit is responsible for planning of audit activities in the country, based on the risk analysis results, interest of senior management and regulatory requirements.
• Reports to the regional head of internal audit and Country senior management on the progress and implementation of audits in comparison with the audit plan as specified in the Regulation on internal audit and in accordance with local regulatory requirements;
• Responsible for writing the audit report and relevant recommendations to the Bank's management (regarding their area of responsibility).
• Responsible for the implementation and organization of correct and systematic documentation of audit procedures in the Audit program and on paper in accordance with the requirements of the Methodology for conducting internal audits of ING Bank;
• Maintains a close collaboration with Supervisory Board, Management Board, other senior management, including coordinating of audit assignments, raising matters of risk/audit interest.
• Coordinates his/her activities with the actions of independent audit companies and inspections of regulatory authorities during external audits or inspections of the bank in order to ensure optimal conditions under which audit companies can confidently rely on the conclusions of the internal audit unit to avoid duplication of efforts;

Profile/skills required:

• Higher economic and/or financial education.
• At least five years of experience in auditing, min 3 years in the banking sector.
• Knowledge of the relevant legislation of Ukraine, banking products and procedures.
• Fluency in English.
• Professional audit certifications (CIA, ACCA, CPA) are preferable
• Adhere to the criteria of business reputation and professional expertise in accordance with regulatory requirements. Experience with testing and approval for a position by the regulator would be a plus.
