About the job
The ICRC Health Department (Physical Rehabilitation Unit) seeks a competent Social Inclusion Officer to join our team in Kharkiv. This role plays a key part in executing physical rehabilitation projects aligned with established objectives and strategies, with a primary focus on enhancing institutional capacity to deliver programs promoting the social inclusion of individuals with physical disabilities. The Social Inclusion Officer will serve as the primary point of contact for all disability inclusion matters at the project level.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinate social inclusion activities to ensure coherence and alignment with the overall social inclusion strategy in the country
- Conduct beneficiary needs assessments and stakeholder mapping, proposing strategies to improve both service accessibility and quality
- Identify avenues for disability rights advocacy and implements awareness plans
- Oversee and implement all sports activities, including coaching wheelchair basketball
- Explore additional adaptive sports played and their potential inclusion in the ICRC social inclusion strategy
- Coordinate with relevant authorities to provide livelihood opportunities for ICRC-supported beneficiaries, ensuring adherence to applicable policies and laws

About you
To be successful as Social Inclusion Officer in the Health Department (Physical Rehabilitation Unit), you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:
- Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
- University degree in social work, business administration, social sciences, education, or a related field is highly desirable
- Professional fluency in both written and spoken English and Ukrainian
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in social inclusion or disability-related fields
- Proven experience in research, documentation, and learning processes.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and provide capacity building support to organizations.
- Basic knowledge of disability sports and rights for persons with disabilities (e.g., UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities).
