Webmaster / Web Project Manager
Market My Market, a fully-remote digital marketing agency focused on delivering results for legal, medical and dental clients across the United States, is looking for a Web Development Project Manager to help manage and develop a team of overseas web developers as they rebuild websites and build custom website designs on the WordPress CMS.
You will work closely with the Director of SEO and other web development-related roles at the organization to build up your team and ensure the web development process undergoes a smooth transition from our current production arrangement.
The ideal candidate must have experience sourcing and managing multiple overseas wordpress developers with aggressive deadlines. This candidate will be strong at having developers adhere to specifications, creates projects that require too much QA, or exceeds timelines.
This role is a full-time position, though Market My Market will consider both full-time salaried candidates as well as long-term independent contractors.
Responsibilities
Sourcing and managing a team of overseas web developers within an established budget that specialize in Wordpress
Ensuring high quality, low budget rebuilds from non-Wordpress websites (mostly proprietary CMS’s) to Wordpress
Guiding roughly 4-6 rebuilds and redesign builds a month.
Give clear, direct feedback to web developers and overcommunicate expectations.
Being vigilant in maintaining a cadre of performing developers and consistently having additional developers that can ramp up quickly if needed
Manage web developers on freelance platforms such as Upwork (or similar platforms/sources). If you have your own team/network in place, you’re already ahead of the game.
Reviewing new websites for quality assurance and creating any necessary SOPs for expediting QA-related tasks
Qualifications:
Excellent written and spoken communication
A sense of urgency and clear direction
At least 3-5 years of experience as a project manager
Experience building sites on Wordpress
Understanding of how to create a staging environment, update DNS records, use FTP/sFTP, and familiarity with web panels (e.g., FastPanel, cPanel, etc.)
Experience managing overseas teams across multiple languages (though you don’t need to be multilingual) and time zones
