REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of successful work experience in WordPress (WP)

• GitHub repository or portfolio showcasing relevant projects

• Strong debugging skills and ability to optimize performance

• Solid understanding of Git for version control

• Ukrainian and English at B2-C1

WP REQUIREMENTS

Proficiency in PHP & Coding Standards

-      Strong knowledge of PHP 8+ and its interpreter mechanics

-      Adherence to PSR-1, PSR-2, PSR-4, PSR-12 coding standards

-      Ability to write clean, well-documented code using PHPDoc

-      OOP principles (SOLID, KISS, DRY) in plugin and theme development

Deep Understanding of WP Core Architecture

-      WP Core: WP_Query, WP_Post, WP_Term, WP_User structures

-      Work with WP Hooks API (Actions & Filters), creating and modifying hooks

-      Understanding of the WP Query Loop and template hierarchy

-      Experience with WP REST API, creating custom endpoints

Theme Development & UI Customization

-      Experience in creating custom themes using WP Theme API

-      Proper usage of child themes for extending existing solutions

-      Familiarity with Blade, Twig, or Timber for templating

-      Experience with ACF for extending theme functionality

-      Work with Gutenberg: blocks, ACF Blocks, custom blocks using React

-      Responsive and cross-browser development: CSS, SCSS, Tailwind, Bootstrap

Plugin Development & Customization

-      Experience in custom plugin development

-      Work with WP Plugin API, registering shortcodes, and using REST API

-      Apply Singleton, Factory, and Service Container patterns in plugins

-      Structuring plugins using best practices: Separation of Concerns, MVC

WooCommerce (WC) Development

-      Experience in configuring and customizing WC

-      Working with WC Hooks (Filters & Actions)

-      Creating and modifying products, orders, order statuses

-      Experience with WC Subscriptions, customizing subscription plans

-      Payment gateway integration: Stripe, PayPal, local gateways

Page Builder Customization

-      Elementor, WPBakery, Divi and extending their functionality

-      Create custom widgets and sections for Elementor

-      Optimize page builders for better performance and user experience

Database Management & Performance Optimization

-      Proficiency in MySQL, optimizing SQL queries

-      WPDB (wpdb class), WP_Meta_Query, WP_Tax_Query

-      Optimize WP performance: Lazy Load, Asset/Query Optimization

-      Use Redis, and Memcached for database caching

Competitive ADVANTAGE

• Use Composer to manage dependencies in WP projects

• NPM/Webpack for CSS and JavaScript bundling

• Experience with modern JS (ES6, Vue.js, React.js) for custom blocks and dynamic content

• Work with Shopify Themes and Shopify API

What You'll Do

• Develop, customize, and enhance WP websites, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards

• Create custom WP themes and plugins, working with WooCommerce (WC) to build robust eCommerce solutions

• Configure and optimize WC for seamless shopping experiences, including custom solutions using WC hooks and filters

• Integrate and customize payment gateways for secure and efficient transactions across WP projects

• Build advanced page layouts using WP page builders

• Enhance website functionality with custom fields via ACF and other plugins

• Develop REST APIs to enable smooth data exchange 

• Collaborate with the team on Git, performing version control and ensuring high-quality code through peer reviews

• Optimize WP sites for SEO and boost loading speed
