Patent Attorney

We are looking for a Patent Attorney to join our Ukrainian office.

Responsibilities: 

• Conducting patent searches and analyzing scientific and/or technical documents to assess novelty, inventive steps, and industrial applicability of inventions.Running other internal and external newsletters and announcements
• Translating patent documents from Ukrainian into English and vice versa
• Preparing, drafting and filing patent applications
• Advising clients on various aspects of patent prosecution, filing strategies, and patent-related legislation
• Preparing reports and responses to office actions from the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations
• Maintaining all the necessary communication with the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations
• Handling cases in the electronic database, monitoring deadlines, and directly communicating with clients in English (emails, calls, personal meetings) 

Skills & Requirements: 

• University degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or Biotechnology
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken)
• At least three years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property, specifically filing patent applications, conducting searches, communicating with the IP office and handling patent prosecution matters for international clients
• Detail oriented with a high sense of responsibility
• Strong computer skills, at least in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Patent Attorney’s license is not obligatory but will be considered as an advantage
