Application Security Analyst

UNIQA Insurance Company — a leader in the Ukrainian insurance market and a member of the Austrian UNIQA Insurance Group, one of the largest insurance groups in Europe, invites an Application Security Analyst to join their team. 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and ensure the security of software and identify vulnerabilities
• Conduct static (SAST) and dynamic (DAST) code analysis
• Develop recommendations and implement solutions to address vulnerabilities
• Integrate security tools into CI/CD processes
• Configure and maintain Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Collaborate with developers to implement secure programming practices
• Create security status reports and maintain documentation
• Monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities in software security

Requirements:

• Higher education in Information Security, Computer Science, or related fields
• At least 3 years of experience in application security
• Professional certifications like CEH, CSSLP are an advantage
• Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization protocols and methods (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML)
• Experience with cryptographic technologies (SSL/TLS, encryption, hashing)
• Understanding of web application architecture, APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies
• English proficiency at Intermediate level or higher

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of application security, OWASP Top 10, and SANS Top 25
• Experience in resolving vulnerabilities: SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, SSRF, etc.
• Skills in SAST/DAST analysis (static and dynamic)
• Proficiency in security tools: Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, AppScan, Checkmarx, Veracode
• Knowledge of Git and secure coding practices (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript)
• Understanding of DevSecOps and integrating security into CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Experience configuring and managing Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
