Donor Officer (Data Analytic focus)
Role Purpose and Context
The Donor Officer (Data Analytic focus) s a vital member of the Ministry of Economy’s Mine Action Office Team «Demine Ukraine,» responsible for coordinating donor activities, analyzing humanitarian demining needs, and maintaining data on international assistance. This role supports the synchronization of mine action projects with Ukraine’s Mine Action Strategy while facilitating effective donor engagement and collaboration. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience in working with data, and the ability to develop project proposals.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Coordination and Engagement:
- Provide comprehensive assistance in coordinating donors, including organizing Sectoral Working Group meetings.
- Maintain regular communication with relevant stakeholders, including government authorities and international partners involved in mine action.
- Conduct relevant consultations with stakeholders and donors, state authorities to develop digiral tool for donor coordination.
Data Management and Analysis:
- Collect, monitor, and process data and datadase on donor commitments and received assistance in the humanitarian demining sector.
- Track and maintain records of Ukraine’s mine action needs with government authorities.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in donor support.
- Present data in efficient and clear manner, prepare analytical summaries, including by using digital tools.
Project Proposal Development
- Coordinate and development of the integrated system of data collection and monitoring in Mine Action sector on donor commitments, assistance received by Ukrainian stakeholders and Ukraine’s needs in this sector developed in cohesion with other initiatives in the area of monitoring donors' commitments and needs related to Ukraine’s reconstruction and recovery.
Analytical Work and Problem Solving:
- Collaborate with state authorities to collect needs and priorities for the sector and integrate them into the monitoring system, including by matching the needs with the current support available.
- Support the synchronization and alignment of mine action projects with Ukraine’s Mine Action Strategy.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis and database management.
- Data visualization and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a focus on problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in EU or other international technical assistance projects.
- Demonstrated experience in business analytics, data visualization, and project proposal development.
- Familiarity with public administration and international cooperation practices.
Language Requirements:
Ukrainian — Native.
English — Proficient (B2 or higher).
Tools and Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage.
