Donor Officer
Role Purpose and Context
The Donor Officer is a crucial member of the Ministry of Economy’s Mine Action Office Team «Demine Ukraine,» responsible for supporting donor coordination, organizing events, and facilitating effective stakeholder engagement. This role includes developing project proposals, preparing policy briefs, and managing the logistics of field visits and sectoral working group meetings. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in event management, and a background in project monitoring and proposal development.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Coordination and Engagement:
- Provide comprehensive assistance in coordinating donors, including organizing Sectoral Working Group meetings and consultations with stakeholders and partners.
- Maintain regular communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress on donor-related initiatives.
- Event Management and Administration:
Organize events such as meetings, conferences, and field trips to production sites in cooperation with the Donor Assistant;
Develop agendas, listings, and outlines for SWG’s and Made in Ukraine meetings, other relevant events and ensure its smooth execution;
Provide administrative support for donor-related activities, including documentation and logistics management.
Project Development and Policy Work:
- Develop project proposals, including drafting requirements and aligning them with donor and sectoral needs.
- Assist government authorities in developing, implementing, and submitting humanitarian demining projects to relevant programs and initiatives.
- Promote a project-oriented approach to managing donor support and align projects with Ukraine’s specific needs.
- Analyze obstacles to donor assistance and propose solutions to address them.
- Prepare policy briefs, conference outlines, and other materials to support donor engagement and sectoral goals.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure alignment with objectives and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare analytical reports and recommendations based on project assessments.
- Provide wirtten updates on the progress of work.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in organizing events and providing administrative support.
- Familiarity with preparing policy briefs and conference materials.
- Demonstrated experience in project monitoring and evaluation.
Language Requirements:
Ukrainian — Native.
English — Proficient (B2 or higher).
Tools and Software:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with project management tools and data analysis platforms is an advantage.
