The AVSI Foundation is an international non-governmental organization founded in Italy in 1972. Our core principles include assistance and development, the dignity of every person, and the building of a society based on solidarity and mutual help. We operate in over 30 countries, providing support in education, health, economic development, and human rights protection.

We are looking for an experienced psychologist who will play a key role in providing psychological support to our employees and partners. Your knowledge and experience will help ensure the quality and effectiveness of our projects aimed at improving the lives of people in challenging circumstances.

Responsibilities: 


- Supervision of Project Psychologists: Oversee and provide guidance to project psychologists to ensure quality and consistency in service delivery.

- Case Management Oversight: Monitor activities related to case management in the psychological sphere, ensuring alignment with project standards and Protection Cluster guidelines.

- Individual Consultations Supervision:Supervise and monitor individual consultation sessions to meet project objectives.

- Parental Training Supervision: Oversee and support activities focused on positive parental training, ensuring alignment with project goals.

- Performance Monitoring: Ensure that all activities meet the project's indicators.

-Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in psychological service delivery and propose appropriate solutions.

- Psychological Support for Employees: Provide consultations and psychological support to organization employees, helping them resolve professional and personal issues affecting their work and well-being.

- Development and Conducting Training: Conduct training and workshops on soft skills development, stress management, and other topics related to psychological health.

- Monitoring Psychological Climate in the Organization: Regularly assess the psychological climate in the organization, identify problems, and propose measures to address them.

- Psychological Interventions: Develop and implement psychological intervention programs for employees aimed at enhancing their psychological resilience and productivity.


Coordination: the psychologist will work closely with,


- The Project Manager and the AVSI team to ensure alignment with overall project goals.

- The Protection Officer to align activities with broader protection objectives.

- Community Center Psychologists and Local Partner Psychologists to maintain consistent standards across various service locations.

- Interaction with HR: Collaborate with the Human Resources department to provide psychological support to employees, as well as participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that improve employee psychological well-being.


Reporting  line:

- Psychologist will report directly to the Project Manager.


- Prepare monthly reports summarizing activities, progress, and areas for improvement in monitored and supervised activities.


Qualifications and Skills:


Education and Experience Requirements:


- Diploma or higher education in Psychology or relevant field.

- English proficiency at B2 level.

- 1-2 years of experience as a psychologist or in the humanitarian, public, or private sector.- Previous experience in community work, stakeholder engagement, or protection-related activities is preferred.


Required Soft Skills:


- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Proficiency in reporting and documentation.

- Teamwork and collaboration skills

- High level of self-organization.

- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.


Location: Based in Poltava, with frequent travel to project sites.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week (full-time).

Contract Duration: Six months, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability.
