Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) is looking for a Logistics Assistant. The main place of work is in the village of Shyroke, Dnipropetrovska oblast. Driving experience will be a significant advantage (company cars are available).
We also consider candidates with disabilities.
NPA operates fully by the laws of Ukraine and we expect our candidates (if male) to have up-to-date military documents.
General Responsibilities:
- Process purchase requisitions/orders within the purchasing authority;
- Assist in processes or tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals;
- Prepare and maintain purchasing files and item price lists;
- Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure that all vehicles are in good working order and equipped according to NPA policy and local traffic regulations;
- Assist in stock system control and storekeeping;
- Assisting with inventory and asset tracking;
- Assist in the booking of travel and accommodation requirements for staff and official visitors;
- Documenting and filing of logistics processes;
- Procuring all office consumables and supplies;
- Processing procurements and stock control;
- Other duties and tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Specific duties
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports of all logistics activities inclusive of updated inventory;
- Assisting in procurement and customs clearing processes, distributing requests, collecting quotations, tabulating quotation summaries, and collecting final invoices;
- Maintaining an updated list of suppliers;
- Conducting regular market surveys;
- Keep accurate and up-to-date inventories;
- Assisting in the collection and updates of files, logbooks, and fuel records;
- Collecting and maintaining vehicle history files, including details of all servicing, repairs, logbooks, and fuel records;
- Keep track and initiate regular maintenance of assets and equipment;
- Assisting in the evaluation of suppliers, their products, and prices to obtain the best value for money and conduct regular market surveys;
- Distribute goods, equipment, and documents;
- Participate in stock take and inventory count processes;
- Maintain stock in bin cards and Agresso software.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Good knowledge of English and Ukrainian - both speaking and writing;
- Valid Driving Licence, category B;
- A university degree/diploma in a relevant field is desirable;
- Good computer skills.
Experience:
- Two years or more experience in the relevant field;
- Previous work experience in insecure environments and the ability to work effectively under difficult conditions are desirable;
- Experience with software for procurement, warehousing, and fleet management is desirable;
- Experience in importation and customs procedures is preferred.
Personal Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Systematic and organized in approach, including accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail, tenacity, and the ability to work under pressure;
- Ability to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure with limited supervision;
- Excellent health.
What we offer:
- The monthly salary is USD 1350 before tax. Salary is paid in Ukrainian hryvnia at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine on the day of payment. Official employment under Ukrainian law;

This position involves business trips to the controlled territory of Ukraine.
