iOS Software Engineer (Warsaw)

Jiji is a leading classified platform in the largest markets of Pan-African countries. It provides buyers and sellers with an avenue to meet and exchange goods and services.

We strive to establish ourselves as a long-term investor in Africa. Our platform currently operates in 10 countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Cote d'Ivoire, Bangladesh and Senegal.

Our goal is to enter the TOP-5 classifieds in the world by traffic by 2035.

Responsibilities:

• Implement new features (app to app calls, escrow related features), while maintaining and enhancing the quality and performance of existing apps.
• Oversee the full cycle of app development, from software design to publication on the App Store.

Key qualifications:

• Deep understanding of scalability, reliability, and performance on iOS.
• Working in a multithreaded environment.
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
• A strong desire to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• 3+ years of experience working in a product-based company in Swift.

It would be great if you also have:

• Experience with modularization or microservices architecture.
• A UX-oriented mindset and approach to development.
