Position Summary
Momentum Wheels for Humanity (MWH) is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join the Rehab4U project team on a part-time basis (4-5 hours per day). The designer will be responsible for creating a variety of visual materials aligned with the project’s goals and brand guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong design portfolio, a good sense of aesthetics, and the ability to work independently while ensuring all outputs meet high standards. This is a part-time position (50% time commitment) with flexible working hours and occasional office visits in Kyiv.
Project Overview
USAID Rehab4U is a multi-year initiative aimed at developing sustainable, integrated rehabilitation services within Ukraine's healthcare system. The project is implemented in partnership with international and national organizations, including Deloitte, Results for Development (R4D), Project HOPE, and the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine (NAPD). Our activities cover a wide range of objectives, including strengthening leadership and governance, increasing access to rehabilitation services, and promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities in economic recovery.
About Momentum Wheels for Humanity
Since 1996, Momentum Wheels for Humanity has increased access to mobility and improved quality of life for children, teens, and adults with physical disabilities in more than 50 low- and middle-income countries. We build and strengthen rehabilitation services within health systems through training and capacity building, policy and standards development, and supply and distribution of wheelchairs and other life-changing equipment. Expected Duties and Responsibilities
- Design visuals for social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) according to the project and partner branding guidelines.
- Create presentations for internal and external use.
- Develop layouts for print materials such as brochures, business cards, banners, and other branded materials.
- Ensure that all designs adhere to the project’s branding, visual identity, and the requirements of our partners.
- Work closely with print suppliers and ensure that all materials meet technical specifications for production.
- Collaborate with the communications team to produce visually engaging and impactful materials.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a graphic designer with a strong portfolio of relevant work (please include your portfolio in your application).
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Familiarity with creating visuals for both digital and print platforms.
- Ability to create layouts for presentations and other materials.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and visual composition.
- Ability to work within brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all visual outputs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of English is required (both written and spoken).
- Experience working remotely, with the flexibility to attend meetings in the office 1-2 times per week (in Kyiv).
- Experience working with international organizations is an asset.
