Security Officer
Role Purpose
The Security Officer (SO) will support the Programme Security Manager (SM) in ensuring the safety and security of project sites, personnel, and assets. The role emphasizes contract compliance for site security providers and includes maintaining security documentation, coordinating personnel movement, and providing linguistic support during stakeholder engagements.
About Us
Our organization is actively managing three key projects in Lviv Oblast, with additional initiatives expected in early 2025. To meet expanding security requirements, the SO will join our Project Management Office (PMO) team, reporting directly to the Programme Security Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management:
- Oversee static security provider operations, ensuring shift changes, equipment functionality, and compliance with security protocols.
- Maintain and update access lists for personnel and vehicles.
- Regularly review overnight check-in records and address any issues promptly.
Documentation & Support:
- Maintain security logs, visit records, and temporary ID card issuance.
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes with HR.
- Conduct briefings for new employees and visitors.
- Manage Journey Management Plans (JMP) for trips outside Lviv Oblast.
- Monitor local news for security updates.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with local authorities, law enforcement, and other security stakeholders.
- Represent the SM when required.
Training & Reporting:
- Deliver security training as needed.
- Prepare and submit incident reports and other security documentation.
Candidate ProfileEssential Requirements:
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate large 4x4 vehicles.
- Experience delivering training and briefings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in military, police, or security services, particularly with international organizations (UN, OSCE, NGOs, embassies).
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, business administration, or related fields.
- Experience with:
- Security management or risk assessment.
- Incident reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Surveillance technologies (e.g., CCTV, alarm systems).
- Google Workspace applications.
Additional Considerations:
- Must reside within a commutable distance of Yavoriv (relocation not covered).
- Able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends (compensatory time off provided).
- Physically able to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions and climb stairs.
- Clean criminal record.
