Chief Accountant / Головний бухгалтер з польською і англійською

Our organization is expanding, and we are seeking a highly experienced Chief accountant to lead a small team of accountants in Poland. We are looking for someone with solid experience with Polish laws and tax regulations and fluent in English and Polish.

Responsibilities: 

• Supervise all accounting processes, including the customs clearance process, tax reporting (all applicable reports), financial reporting, annual stocktaking and TP reporting; 
  

• Supervise a team of accountants;

• Supervise document workflow and timely recognition of transactions in the accounting system.

• Prepare tax and accounting reports according to the local legislative requirements;

• Prepare Group's financial reports and support within audit of consolidated FS.

• Supervise standalone audit (if any).

• Timely communication of tax, accounting, and reporting issues to the Group supervisors.

• Communication with government/tax authorities (including preparation and writing official responses) in case of receiving requests, tax audits, etc.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a chief accountant at a big international company or handling this role for a client at a consulting/outsource company; 

• Located in Warsaw, Poland;

• Team Management / Leadership experience; 

• Accounting or finance education;

• Fluent in English and Polish;

• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial matters; 

• Demonstrated integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information;

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines;

• Strong track record of developing and managing teams, as well as structuring team responsibilities;

• Ability to work under pressure while reaching deadlines and being attentive to details;

• Ability to work autonomously;

• Hands-on experience in internal controls design and implementation;

• Proficient user of finance software;
