Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is an international non-governmental organization which since 1992 has been providing humanitarian and development help worldwide. So far, the interventions have been carried out in 46 different countries. By possessing long-standing expertise in the implementation of projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), Food Security and Livelihoods, as well as Nutrition and Education, PAH concentrates its global activities on ensuring sustainable and stable development of regions suffering from the consequences of armed conflicts, natural disasters and other humanitarian crises.
PAH has been present in Ukraine since August 2014 delivering humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable of the conflict-affected population. PAH aids Ukrainians through various humanitarian response mechanisms including, Protection, Shelter, WaSH, and Livelihoods. PAH Ukraine is currently expanding humanitarian response programming to include both early recovery and development-oriented interventions that provide sustainable livelihoods opportunities for the affected population.

Purpose:
The primary duty of an IT assistant is to install, configure, and handle a computer network system in Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH). The position holder must ensure the organization’s computer network is functioning perfectly and is up to date. The job duties also include providing logistics/admin support to the staff, maintaining accurate documentation for organization policies and procedures, including IT asset management - record keeping, assignation of IT equipment’s to the staff and also safeguarding, stocking office IT supplies when necessary, and resolving staff issues promptly. Position is to be based in Kyiv with possible business trips to Dnipro and Lviv if necessary.
IT Officer/specialist Responsibilities and Duties:
Ensure that all IT tasks must comply with IT HQ standards
- Installing and configuring a new IT equipment including laptops, printers, tablets and communication devices according to IT Strategy (HQ).
- Maintaining and repairing networks, peripherals and helping PAH staff in troubleshoot the problem
- Support in IT Asset management
- Supporting staff answering to emails and chats regarding technical issues
- Keeping a detailed record about network configuration, peripheral specification, problems, and solutions
- supporting the IT Coordinator in improving IT processes in response to user demand (IT Strategy)
- Coordination with HQ IT team for continuous improvement of IT system
- Perform routine PC maintenance
- Update work station for office staff
- Assist in software and hardware upgrades
- Provide technical assistance to staff when needed
- Responding to bulk email and faxes
- Conduct meetings
- Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
- Maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents
- Need based Support in Logistics/admin functions
Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in information system,
- Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience is similar role
- Punctual, reliable and must have communication skill both in Ukrainian and English
- Great technical knowledge about network and PC hardware, preferably hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge in recordkeeping and documentations
- Self-motivated and strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail, prioritization skill, and time management
- Quick learner with a positive attitude
- Motivational and communication skill
- Result-oriented who can tackle tough problems
- Extensive equipment support experience
